Stephen has been building houses for over 40 years and set up Merkara Homes in 1992. He has seen large changes in the industry from hand nailing frames, to framing guns, pitching house roofs to trussed roofs since he started in 1986. The years in the construction industry; Cert 4 in Building and Training and Assessing, years of experience on different projects has given him a great depth of construction knowledge. Your house is in good hands with Stephen as the Builder.
An important part of Stephen’s life outside of work is giving back to the community volunteering, with over 20 years in the P&C and Show committee, and 25 yrs as a Scout leader, Stephen enjoys anything outdoors, and teaching youth practical skills for life. Stephen and his wife Leigh of 32 years, enjoy a full life with there 4 children. 20 yrs with Qld Master Builder.
